Naviance: Workspace K12

Naviance is our new on-line college planning resource. All students are given accounts when they are enrolled at TCHS. Students can use this site throughout their high school careers, however, juniors and seniors are required to keep information up to date in their accounts for accurate college planning.

Resources provided by the site:

  • Learning style inventory: Great for freshmen and sophomores to learn how and where they learn best, and best study practices
  • Personality style inventory: Used for juniors and seniors to help them focus their interests for college and what careers and college majors might best match their interests
  • Resume: Students can continually update their own resumes with awards, internships, jobs, and other important aspects of their high school careers. The website will automatically format the resume for the student to later submit to colleges.
  • Search Engines: Students can search for both colleges and scholarships through the website. Scholarships are inputted by the Guidance Counselor and students can search for the ones they are qualified for.
  • Applying to colleges: Students are asked to use this site to apply to all colleges who participate with it (over 500+ colleges). Students are able to fill out electronic applications and submit them directly to the colleges, and receive confirmation when the college receives the application. Naviance participates with The Common Application to help this be a seemless process. Students also use this site to request transcripts from the Guidance office, as well as letters of recommendations from teachers at TCHS.
